Creation

Oh boy, where do I start on this one?
It was a birthday present for my mother. I´m poor, no money, talent and lots of free-time. It´s based on a dream she had some 10 years ago, in which she held a star that was floating outside the window. Then I used a poem by Ruben Darío which you can read here: [link] (sorry, no translation, it´s in spanish) (cuento para margarita). The important part, or the one that was in my mind when I was doing this was:

Una tarde la princesa
vio una estrella aparecer;
la princesa era traviesa
y la quiso ir a coger.

La quería para hacerla
decorar un prendedor,
con un verso y una perla,
y una pluma y una flor.

So I added the first and obvious item, or "thing" the star, or stars if you will, and then added the verse, the pearl (or in this case the star), a feather, and a flower.
Painting this was painstakingly long for me, as I didnt want to mess up, I think it turned out pretty good!!!
